Nye (22) was actually on the way to establishing himself in a fully different field. After all, sports – from football to tennis to martial arts – were always much more than a hobby for Nye. Professional rugby clubs were in active pursuit of the multitalented young lad. At just 16 years of age (!), Northampton Rugby Club already offered him a contract and his future in sports would have been sealed. But with the contract on the table and just a signature away, Nye changed his mind: “I always rely on my intuition. Even though sports were always number one in my life, when it was time to decide what to do for the next few years, I knew that it had to be music.” Instead, Nye chose to be on stage where can perform, sing and dance. After finishing school, he moved to London where he worked as a model to pay for singing lessons: “I always wanted to do something in life that was fulfilling. Of course, this is a luxury but I made it all possible by working hard on myself. Whenever I decide to do something, it has to be something that I will enjoy for a long time. Being on stage and performing really does it for me.” His voice and charisma give the band a lot of energy … “I’m a team player, it’s always been this way, maybe because I used to play so many team sports. For me, being in this band is about creating something really special with four likeminded yet totally different personalities. We want people to freak out”, laughs Nye as he explains the band’s philosophy and he adds: “Our show is going to be different from everything that you’ve seen until now. Our sound is urban and our dance styles are faster and more sophisticated, more street and we keep things pumping until the audience is completely captivated!”
